Ponchos remind me of my middle school days where everyone was obsessed with them and would wear them everyday. Well, you guessed it, the poncho trend is back. I knew as soon as I saw this poncho I knew I had to have it.
I styled it with a turtleneck sweater to help keep me warm on the colder fall days. I loved how the leather leggings helped to dress the outfit up! Boots and this Rebecca Minkoff M.A.B. bag helped to tie the whole outfit together!
Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to check back in for a pinch of glitz and glam!
Whenever I wear this quilted jacket from Zara, I always feel like such a biker chick! Hence the title of this post ! This jacket is great for fall because it is insulated for the cold weather but not too warm to make you overheat. I decided to pair it with a jeweled collar top from Jcrew to add a bit of a girly look to this edgy jacket. We all know how much I love the glitz so I had to add my silver and white rose earrings and my Tory Burch silver Reva’s.
Its been so cold up here in the northeast, its almost like we skipped fall and went automatically to winter! I have been looking for a warm winter coat for this winter, and it looks like I am going to have to get one sooner than later. If anyone has any suggestions let me know!
Be sure to check back soon for a pinch of glitz and glam!
Layers, layers, layers! I can’t get enough of layers during the fall! Not only do layers look cute, but it helps to keep warm. I decided to put together a casual look thats great for everyday wear (not to mention super comfy!). This look would be great for a day of shopping, errands, or anytime you want to keep it sweet and simple! A simple embroidered shirt with a cardigan for added warmth, and a monogram necklace to add some glitz!
We were lucky to have gorgeous weather this weekend! So we decided to go apple picking (as some of you have seen from my instagram). There’s something about picking your own apples that makes them just a little bit sweeter!
Thanks for reading, check back soon for a pinch of glitz and glam!
Fall is finally here. As much as I wish it were still summer,I must say that I don’t mind the crisp cool air. Although, I can do without the shorter days!
I have been loving all the chambray that has been coming back this fall. So I decided i would get in on the action! I thought that layering this Jcrew chambray would go well with this navy vest. Layering for the fall not only looks cute but it helps to keep warm during the fall without having to wear a coat. We all know that wearing coats means winters here, and I wish I could get rid of that season all together!
I am going to have to start with an apology because I have not posted in WAYYYY too long! I have been super busy the past couple of months and have been neglecting my blog. SO SO Sorry!
I thought what better way to come back to posting than a transition outfit from Summer to Fall! The leaves have been slowly changing and I have a case of summertime sadness. I put this outfit together with both fall and summer in mind. Although I do have to admit that this post was supposed to be posted a couple weeks ago when it was a lot hotter outside! Oppps!
Every girl needs a good pair of wedges. I was in love with these wedges from the instant I tried them on. Its safe to say they have been a staple this past summer!
The orange in the necklace really helped to make the orange in the harem pants pop.
Since it’s March (and soon to be day light savings time) doesn’t that mean that spring should be here already? I have been aching for the spring, but all the weather seems to be doing is snowing rather than the sun shining. This pastel pink blazer with gold buttons helps to bring a little bit of spring to my outfit. Hopefully spring will be here soon around the corner, but for now we can pretend.
This gorgeous Francessca’s bracelet brought different colors from the outfit together. Thanks to one of my best friends for this lovely christmas present!
I love this Tory 797 Satchel with the distressed leather and gold hardware. It helps that it can be worn with any outfit!
If you couldn’t tell already I have a slight obsession with Jcrew (actually maybe LARGE obsession sums it up better). When I found out that they were having a huge sale online and in stores I knew I had to take a look. Everything on sale is an additional 40% off (select items are 50% off) of the already reduced price. Which is essentially every Jcrew lovers dream. Here are some of my spring and winter friendly picks from the sale.
Pastels in the winter have been super trendy lately. So I decided to throw this outfit together with a pink pastel oxford and some bright mint green pants. Surprisingly I was very warm in this ensemble, thanks to the Jcrew cable knit sweater.
Luckily I had taken these outfit photos a couple days before we had gotten about three feet of snow. So the lack of outfit posts can be accredited to the torrential snow that we have been having lately. All I know is I am SNOW over it 🙂
Probably one of the favorites in my collection of necklaces. I love how it has both pink and pearls in it (two of my favorites!).
I had to add this Tory Burch Robinson Clutch for some added gold sparkle to the outfit.
Not to mention I am in LOVE with this jeweled sweater ( I can’t get enough of them this winter). Its the perfect statement piece for any wardrobe.
Sparkles and Roses…two things that I absolutely LOVE. This valentines day I decided I would wear both of them in my outfit for the day. This is one of my options for a more casual valentines day look! I did take these pictures before we started getting this crazy valentines day snow storm! So if I did choose to wear this on valentines day (TOMORROW!?) I would add a warm red pea coat to the outfit.
I loved mixing the leather leggings and a sparkle top. It really made the beadwork on the blouse stand out.
Its all about the details! Here’s a close up of one of my staple Michael Kors watch.
These booties were such a steal, I ended up getting them from Forever 21 for $2! I was in shock when the cashier rang them up. Now I regret not getting them in every color!
The subtle pink lip helped to add some valentines day cheer and color to the outfit!
It always helps when someones making you laugh while you’re taking outfit photos!

Through my travels over the past couple of years I have found that I have curated the perfect Carry on bag. Whether it is a trip thats only 2 hours away via train or a trip thats 12 hours away via plane, I find that having a well packed carry on helps to travel with ease. Below is a picture for my personal carry on that I had for my recent trip to Bermuda. I find that longchamp bags are one the best tote bags to use while traveling because they are lightweight, versatile, and very roomy. The one that is pictured below was bought a couple years back before they revamped their larger le pilage bag, so this one is a bit more roomy than the new ones. Although I do have some friends that have the newer le pilages and they have not had any trouble with the size, but I do wish they continued to make them as large as the bag that I have below.
Some of the things that I find essential to packing a carry on are your sunglasses, especially if there your final destination is sunny and tropical. You will need a sunhat as well too keep the suns rays out of your eyes. Also I found that the hanging organizer from Vera Bradley helps to hold all of my jewelry that I will be needing for my trip very nicely. Your wallet that will help to hold your boarding pass, money, passport, etc. Chapstick to help keep your lips hydrated during your travels, I personally love the Palmers coco butter formula. A cosmetic bag with all of your makeup essentials, although do check the carry on restrictions for some liquid cosmetics that are over the carry on limit. Headphones so that you can listen to music or watch movies on the plane. I also like to carry a smaller pouch that holds hand sanitizer, hand cream, a small perfume sample, gum and breath mints. I also was gifted this awesome checklist (I believe its from Jcrew) that helps to keep all my items in order and helps me check off if I have everything. Some items that are not pictured that I like to bring are a tablet (ipad, nook, kindle), a book, or anything that will entertain me during my long travels.
Hope this can help you for your future travels! Thanks for reading, and be sure to check back for a pinch of glitz and glam!
