Fall Layers

Shirt // Cardigan // Flats (Loving these) // Purse // Watch

Happy Wednesday!

Layers, layers, layers! I can’t get enough of layers during the fall! Not only do layers look cute, but it helps to keep warm. I decided to put together a casual look thats great for everyday wear (not to mention super comfy!). This look would be great for a day of shopping, errands, or anytime you want to keep it sweet and simple! A simple embroidered shirt with a cardigan for added warmth, and a monogram necklace to add some glitz!

We were lucky to have gorgeous weather this weekend! So we decided to go apple picking (as some of you have seen from my instagram). There’s something about picking your own apples that makes them just a little bit sweeter!

Fallin’ for the Chambray

Fall is finally here. As much as I wish it were still summer,I must say that I don’t mind the crisp cool air. Although, I can do without the shorter days!

I have been loving all the chambray that has been coming back this fall. So I decided i would get in on the action! I thought that layering this Jcrew chambray would go well with this navy vest. Layering for the fall not only looks cute but it helps to keep warm during the fall without having to wear a coat. We all know that wearing coats means winters here, and I wish I could get rid of that season all together!

P.S. SALE ALERT! Shopbob is having a friends and family sale, so the whole website is 25% off with the code FAMILY25

BaubleBar is having Friends and Family as well! All of their accessories are 25% with the code FRIENDS25

Sequins and Pink

Since it’s March (and soon to be day light savings time) doesn’t that mean that spring should be here already? I have been aching for the spring, but all the weather seems to be doing is snowing rather than the sun shining. This pastel pink blazer with gold buttons helps to bring a little bit of spring to my outfit. Hopefully spring will be here soon around the corner, but for now we can pretend.

This gorgeous Francessca’s bracelet brought different colors from the outfit together. Thanks to one of my best friends for this lovely christmas present!

I love this Tory 797 Satchel with the distressed leather and gold hardware. It helps that it can be worn with any outfit!

Fair Ilse

I had been eyeing this Jcrew jeweled sweater for quite some time now. So when I saw that they had my size in my local Jcrew I knew it was a sign. Not only was it warm and functional (100% lambswool), but it was also super adorable and sparkly.  The lovely Sarah Vickers of Classy Girls Wear Pearls did inspire me with her styling of this sweater.

When styling this outfit I drew from the colors of the sweater in order to help me pick certain accessories and pieces of clothing. This Rebecca Minkoff M.A.B. Bag went well with the whole outfit, and I thought the mahogany color was very wintery.

A huge thank you to my lovely boyfriend who played photographer!

Hope you enjoyed this winter look, and make sure to check back for a pinch of glitz and glam!

J Crew Sale

If you couldn’t tell already  I have a slight obsession with Jcrew (actually  maybe LARGE obsession sums it up better). When I found out that they were having a huge sale online and in stores I knew I had to take a look. Everything on sale is an additional 40% off (select items are 50% off) of the already reduced price. Which is essentially every Jcrew lovers dream. Here are some of my spring and winter friendly picks from the sale. PicMonkey Collage

The sale ends tonight, so be sure to make your purchases before then!

Let it Snow

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow….except not too much! We have been having our fair share of snow storms up in the northeast this winter. At first its nice during the holiday season, but after a while the snow gets annoying especially when you develop a case of cabin fever! I personally can only take being cooped up inside for too long. So I decided it would be fun (and a little chilly) to shoot some outfit posts midst a snow storm. I have been putting this off all winter because I hate going out in the snow. But I decided that Snow storm Nika was the perfect storm for a photo shoot.

I knew I just had to wear my favorite navy Jcrew gold button coat.

The gold rims on my ray ban aviators worked really well in tying the whole outfit together.

I loved how the bold red-orange lip was dramatized next to the winter white of the snow.

Although my boots are not the atypical Hunter boots, I loved how they gave character to the outfit. The creme and black damask print really stood out out in the snow. I have been pretty happy with the durability of these boots (I’ve had them since my freshman year of college)!

Lastly, I had to keep my ears warm with this cream cable knit beanie.

Coat // Scarf (similar) // Hat (similar) // Gloves  // Boots (sold out) // Sunglasses

Stay warm lovlies, and hope that spring is around the corner!

Holiday Gift Guide- for a Her!

As the holidays approach it is sometimes hard to narrow down what to get for your loved ones! So I decided to put together a post that has some great gifts for your everyday girly girl. Most of these items are things that I find in pretty high demand, and also some of my personal favorites (or personal wants…shhh!).

1 // 2 // 3 // 4 // 5 // 6 // 7 // 8

1. I  obviously love this beautiful Kate Spade bangle that she just came out with. I love how it adds a twist (literally) to the classic skinny mini bow bangle. This bangle would look great on any girl who loves to wear stacks of bangles on their wrists. It is especially festive for the holidays!

2. This statement piece has been flying off the shelves everywhere lately! It would look great with a pair of skinny jeans and maybe even a fur vest.  I personally love how it incorporates the jewels so you can skip wearing any statement jewels with this sweater.

3. I have been lusting over these boots all season. I am simply in love with them, and they would be a great staple in any girls closet. They went on sale on the Tory Burch website and literally sold out the very next day. I did find them online at Neiman Marcus online, but I am sure they will go on sale soon.

4. This watch is a great staple for every girl to have in her wardrobe. It goes with everything and is a gorgeous everyday watch. The inside stones in the watch adds the perfect touch of sparkle to any outfit.

5. This is yet another J Crew sweater that I have been seeing all over social media. I love all sweaters with stones on them and this one is no exception. This sweater would look great to spice up any holiday outfit.

6. Pearls on a phone case. Those five words and I’m sold. I love how Kate Spade incorporated the iconic pearls into this phone case, so that you can always match your earrings to your phone case. So adorable, and this case is a must have for girls everywhere.

7.  Tory Burch just added this “mini bag” to her collection about a month ago, and its safe to say I’m in love. It is so versatile as it can be interchanged between a clutch and a cross body. I love the gold “chanel-esque” hardware on the bag that makes it even more adorable. Every girl needs one of these for their nights out since it fits all of the necessary essentials.

8. This ring is just perfect and I have been eyeing it for years. So long in fact that the price went up on it about $125 in the past couple of years (inflation really gets you!). This is a perfect present for a  loved one whom you want to show you care. The three stones between the mesh ring adds the perfect balance of simplicity and sparkle.

So thats all for now, be sure to let me know what you are buying for your favorite girl this holiday season!

Welcoming the Fall and Sale Season!

The one word that gives a shopaholic the bees knees….SALES!!! Over the past couple weeks I have been trying to stop myself from buying everything from the sales in stores and online. As the leaves change colors the stores have started to create a burning hole in my wallet. Of course I am talking about the abundance of Friends and Family Sales that have been going on over the past couple of weeks. It all stated with the Bloomingdales F&F sale, where the whole store was essentially 20% off. Then my favorite designer Tory Burch decided to make her whole store 25% percent off. This sale I absolutely could not resist, and I had to buy myself a pair of the Eddie Ballet Flats.

Screen Shot 2013-10-17 at 6.22.24 PM

Then BaubleBar had their friends and family sale, and this is where I had to draw the line.  Urban decay was also having a F&F sale, which meant the naked pallet was also on sale ( WHICH NEVER HAPPENS).  Jcrew was having a sale of 25% off of everything in store this past weekend and I had to stop and get this top, which is going to look great for the fall with some boots.  I couldn’t resist the jewels on the collar.

This week there are a couple sales that you should keep your eyes peeled for. Saks Fifth Avenue is having a 25% F&F sale on essentially their whole store which never usually happens. Also Tobi is having a 50% off sale that ends tonight so make sure you check that out. Also Sperry Top sider is also having a friends and family sale thats 25% off all of the shoes on the website. Lastly I just got a facebook notification for the Kate Spade friends and family sale that is currently going on with 30% off the whole website with the code FALL13FF. I have been eyeing the new Gramercy Grand watch so that might be on my list of things to buy!

Thats all for now!
